If a student will receive instruction from the private school, but will continue to receive services from the district, an ISP meeting must be held to document the change of placement and to update the students Plan Type to 200 (ISP). This will also create a CALPADS reportable transaction, which is required as the student will be enrolled in a private school in the SIS.
If it is determined during the IEP meeting that the student will attend a private school, but will continue to receive services from the district through an ISP:
- Complete the Service Plan (Private School) form
- Note: Services should reflect the ISP services which will be provided
- Update the students Plan Type to 200
- Affirm the ISP
If a student transfers to a private school after the IEP meeting has been held:
- Go to the student's Future IEP and update the Service Plan (Private School) form
- Note: The Service Plan Meeting Date will be the student's new Annual meeting
- Update the students Plan Type to 200
- Affirm the ISP
Please Note: Students attending a Private School that remain on an IEP Plan Type, due to a local settlement agreement, must be enrolled at the District office with an Enrollment Status of 10, through the Student Information System for CALPADS reporting.
