The CALPADS guidelines state that an IEP should only be consist of the following Meeting Types: Initial, Annual and Reevaluation. All adjustments to the student's IEP should be documented through an Amendment.


If a Transition meeting will be held, it should be documented as an Amendment, as a full IEP meeting is not being held.


  • On the student's Current IEP, click the Amendments tab
  • Click the Add Amendment button
  • In the Amendment Purpose field, select Transition


Providers should not go to the Information/Eligibility form and update the Meeting Type. The Meeting Type must reflect the students active/current IEP.
